Topographical Land Surveying

Topographical Land Surveying

Utilising state of the art equipment we collect 3D coordinated data that we use to create 2D or 3D graphical representations of the surface features of a place, indicating their relative position and height. The level of detail is usually specified by the client and is dependant on the final scale of the plans (far more detail can be shown on a plan at 1:100 than at 1:1000 scale).

Most of our surveys are related to Ordnance Survey Grid and Datum by GPS but can be related to any grid. They show natural and man-made features such as roads, buildings, trees and boundaries. Please download a sample specification.

The end product is usually an AutoCAD drawing showing all significant features including levels in the form of spot heights or contours and any other information requested. Drawings are layered using colours and linetypes to make the drawing easier to read. All drawings are quality control checked before being dispatched as a hard copy (paper or film), AutoCAD DWG/DXF or Acrobat PDF format and all work is archived for future reference.
