Assistant Land Surveyor
£16,760.00 – £17,400.00 per year
You will be reporting to a number of surveyors assisting them in all aspects of their work. Each surveyor will give you training on the job which may lead to further progression within the company. No previous experience is required. A national apprenticeship in surveying is currently under development and may become available next year. The work will give you an opportunity to travel all over the UK and the type of projects you will be involved in are topographic surveys, measured building surveys, river surveys, beach surveys. There will also be an opportunity to learn CAD skills.
The successful applicant would ideally have the following skills and attributes:
- Physically fit and enjoys outdoor work
- Team player with aspirations to grow within a team
- Understanding of technology and computers
- Willing to work away from home and occasionally at weekends
- Hold a full, clean driving license
